Sirius Chartering operates exclusively and independently as a commercial manager of chemical/tanker vessels. Our experienced staff work mainly with European shipping clients and specialize in tonnage up to 20,000 dwt. Our extensive know-how, great flexibility, personal service, high reliability and efficient transport solutions have generated solid trust in our business over time.
From our offices at the Gothenburg waterfront we negotiate and operate time charter contracts, contracts of affreightment and spot market cargoes for a wide range of liquid bulk cargoes.
What we do for cargo clients
The rapid shift away from petroleum based products into fuels and chemicals derived from green feedstock grades means that today more than 50 pct of the total volume carried in our tanker fleet is consisting of green molecules. These are either carried for feeding into the production plants, i.e. such as rape seed oil, forestry industry by-products, used cooking oil, various grades of plant based fat and esters and similar, or as renewable based finished products.

Sirius Chartering focus on close collaboration and partnerships with strong cargo clients in the northern European market. Our approach is very much industrially driven, and we aim to employ the fleet as efficiently as possible by combining our various CoA-cargoes and spot cargoes in logistical patterns, thereby minimizing ballast legs and waiting time.
With several of our long-term clients we have time charter arrangements that provide the fleet with stability over time, while also maintaining and nurturing the long-standing Owner-Charterer relationships. Several re-building- as well as new-building projects have been developed by Sirius in close cooperation with cargo clients.
Modern, Ice-classed vessels fitted with high quality cargo treatment equipment make us capable and well experienced of handling both clean products, such as HVO, Ethanol, Biofuel, Diesel, Gasoline and Naphtha cargoes, as well as an increasing variety of more challenging cargoes that require heating and efficient tank cleaning between different cargo grades.
What we do for ship owners
Apart from Sirius owned tonnage we are also entrusted with commercial management of a number of vessels owned by third party ship owners. We are a one-stop-shop covering all commercial aspects of tanker vessel market activities, including chartering, cargo planning, operations, post-fixture, bunkering, port disbursements and more.
